Misty Smith has been working with horses since the age of 12 when she became one of the “Original” Barn Brats volunteering at Bakas Equestrian Center for the Handicapped. It was during those four years that her love for helping people connect with horses began. Misty then she moved on to further her knowledge and became an apprentice trainer under Sylvia Rice at Sylvia Rice Training Center. Her focuses were starting young horses, Western Pleasure, and Halter as well as working in the breeding program breeding Quality Quarter horses. Misty has spent the last 2 years teaching at A Wilderness Trail Equestrian Center and is looking forward to this new adventure.
